About the Event
What could be nicer than sitting with a glass of something while you learn the traditional art of English Paper Piecing Patchwork (EPP) Hand stitched patchwork is a lovely way to learn patchwork, it is portable, takes up little space and doesn’t need loads of equipment.
On this course you will learn to make the diamond used in EPP, how to make your templates, cut your fabric and how to stitch them together to make a sample with the look of a 3D piece
If you have sharp scissors and paper scissors bring them, if not I have some, all other materials supplied
Drinks of your choice can be purchased at the bar.
The Tutor:
Pat is a local craftsperson and has taught patchwork, quilting and many other crafts for more years than she cares to remember! First with what was then Woolwich Adult Education and then the last 20 odd years at Denman the WI’s college until it closed down Since the pandemic pat has been sharing her skills on line through zoom
Pat’s first love is patchwork and she loves teaching beginners, giving them the skills and confidence to be able to work with lovely fabrics that turn into either practical or decorative items.
